Casting update for All’s Well That Ends Well  The Globe’s first production of All’s Well That Ends Well is now fully cast. Playing alongside the fabulous Janie Dee, Countess of Roussillon, are some familiar faces. Helena will be played by Ellie Piercy (Liberty and The Merry Wives of Windsor, 2008), while her Bertram is Sam Crane whose Hotspur in Henry IV last season won great acclaim. James Garnon (King James I inAnne Boleyn) will play the cowardly parasite, Parolles. Janie, Ellie and Colin Hurley (Lavatch) will be doing weekly interviews for our Globe Education Adopt an Actor project. Roger Allam wins Best Actor  On Sunday the 2011 Olivier Awards were held at Theatre Royal Dury Lane and the marvellous Roger Allam won the award for Best Actor for his role of Falstaff in Henry IV parts 1 & 2 at the Globe last year. We would like to congratulate Roger and are sure that those of you who caught either (or both!) parts last year will agree that it was well deserved. If you didn't manage to see the show last season it was filmed in HD and is going to appear in cinemas across the world later this year. Olivier award-winners performing at the Globe this year include Eve Best (Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing) and Janie Dee (Countess of Roussillon in All's Well That Ends Well). Globe Theatre on Tour  Many of the venues have now been confirmed forour touring productions of Hamlet and As You Like It. Our touring shows have gone from strength to strength and this is now the fifth year that we send actors out on the road to entertain those of you who can’t come to us. Both show are playing a few performances at the Globe and we encourage you to book now to ensure that you don’t miss out. Sonnet Walks  Our historic walks take you through passages and around corners of London you have never noticed before. As you enjoy the sights and stories of our streets, our favourite Globe performers will pop out from nowhere and surprise you with Shakespeare’s most moving and poetic sonnets and prose. There are two walks to choose from, the first starting in Shoreditch and the second in Westminster. Both walks end at Shakespeare’s Globe and you have the opportunity to place a beautiful rose (given to you on your departure) on the Globe’s astonishingly crafted Groundling Gates. Shakespeare’s Globe, in partnership with Phoebus Cart, is proud to be continuing the long tradition of Mark Rylance’s Tudor walks. The walks are always one of our most popular annual events.
